An assessment of the value of qurbani hides: A pilot survey of Karachi division

This study is pioneering in investigating the Qurbani Hides as an in-kind giving that provides a potential funding source for promoting philanthropic and economic activities in the country. Given the challenges of data gaps on the subject, a pilot survey was conducted in 266 hide collection centers of the Karachi Division, comprising seven districts.

The findings reveal that the estimated value of Qurbani Hides is about PKR 1.78 billion in Karachi division that was determined by the market price of sacrificial animals in the year 2022. The value would be much higher if estimated value is extrapolated at national level. To know more about interesting findings, access the complete report here http://rb.gy/1nedh
